The Seva Law Firm is boutique litigation firm based in Troy, MI, with a satellite office in Southfield, MI. We are first and foremost litigators and trial lawyers. We concentrate our practice on insurance litigation, but we handle all types of litigation including corporate litigation, contract disputes, and personal injury.

All of our attorneys get email to their phone and are required to provide prompt responses. We allow clients to track their litigation calendar online. We share all documents electronically if requested. Further, we are a paperless firm (other than the fact that the opposing parties still paper us to death). Most importantly, our trial presentations are second to none with video, PowerPoint, and graphics whenever appropriate.
Secondly, The Seva Law Firm has a firm policy to return all client calls within 24-hours of the client's call. The number one complaint client's have of lawyers is the inability to reach their attorney. We are well aware of this fact and work hard to ensure that we do not perpetuate this bad practice.

Mr. Sevanthinathan is the owner and founder of the Seva Law Firm. He passionately advocates for his clients on a multitude of issues. Pratheep represents million dollar corporations as well as indigent individuals, and does so with the same high level of devotion, zeal, and enthusiasm for every single client.

Ashley Burkhart
Associate Attorney
Ashley is a licensed member of the State Bar of Michigan since 2011. She is a member of the Michigan Association for Justice, Women’s Lawyer Association of Michigan and former student representative/liaison for the Oakland County Bar Association’s New Lawyers Committee.
Ashley graduated from Marian High School. She then moved to Chicago to attend Loyola University Chicago where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minored in both Communications and Women Studies. Ashley returned to Michigan and earned her Juris Doctorate at Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where she received academic honors and a Certificate of Merit in Employment & Discrimination Law. While at Thomas Cooley Law School Ashley received further recognition for her pro bono services at the Family Law Assistance Project.
Ashley joined The Seva Law Firm as an associate attorney in May of 2015. At The Seva Law Firm Ashley’s practice is primarily focused on No-Fault Litigation, Auto Negligence, and Legal Research. Before joining The Seva Law Firm Ashley also practiced personal injury at Thurswell Law Firm and Bagley & Langan, P.L.L.C.
Outside of practicing law, Ashley enjoys yoga, traveling, boating, downhill snow skiing, and spending time with her husband, son, and friends.

Manpreet Gill
Associate Attorney
Manpreet Gill is an experienced litigator at Seva Law Firm. Manpreet was born and raised in Michigan. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Oakland University and went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
While attending law school, she served as the Vice President of the South Asian Bar Association, Treasurer of the Student Bar Association, Vice President of the International Law Association, and member of the Women Lawers Association of Michigan. Manpreet is admitted to practice in the State of Michigan. She is currently a member of the Michigan Association of Justice, American Bar Association, and a board member of Michigan South Asian Bar Association.
Manpreet’s practice is primarily focused on No- Fault Litigation for both the injured claimants and providers along with third party negligence claims. As an attorney as Seva Law Firm, Manpreet is dedicated to providing the absolute best representation for her clients. She is a zealous advocate who believes in justice and is a strong proponent against the insurance companies to ensure that her clients receive maximum recovery.
Outside of the firm, Manpreet enjoys traveling, reading, movies, and spending time with her family.

Omar Sheriff
Associate Attorney
Attorney Omar Sheriff was born and raised in the city of Detroit and currently resides in Southfield Michigan. He attended Wayne State University where he earned a BA in Economics. He then attended University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where he graduated cum laude in May of 2013.
While in law school, he earned four book awards. Attorney Sheriff also earned two academic scholarships for academic achievement. During his time in law school, he was a teaching assistant for the 1L writing course and a member of various organizations including BLSA (Black Law Students Association), St Thomas More Society (Volunteer Organization) and the SBA (Student Bar Association).
Also while in law school, Omar interned for Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette (Criminal Division) and the Honorable Mark Randon. He also worked in the Misdemeanor Defenders office for the 36th District Court and the 52-4 District Court. He also was a law clerk for a Bankruptcy attorney.
Omar is admitted into the State Bar of Michigan and Federal Eastern District of Michigan. He is a member of the Oakland County Bar Association, American Bar Association and the Michigan Association of Justice. Omar joined the Seva Law Firm in August of 2014 working on auto accident and workers compensation cases.

Born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Janel Savaya has always had a passion for helping others. Janel attended Oakland Community College where she received her degree in Paralegal Studies in 2011. Shortly after, she began working in the legal field. Janel has over 5 years of experience and knowledge working in Civil Litigation, criminal and traffic law, corporate transactional work, and Michigan No-Fault Litigation.
Janel is hard working, dedicated, and has a keen sense for organization. She is committed to providing excellence both in and out of the workplace and loves what she does.
Janel joined The Seva Law Firm as a Litigation Paralegal in July of 2016. At The Seva Law Firm Janel’s primary focus is No-Fault and Bodily Injury Litigation.
